After a successful career, Antonio Banderas is actually a big star with a variety of roles to choose from. He thus appears in both art house films and blockbusters, such as Uncharted. In 2020 for Pain and Glory, he received his first Oscar nomination. However, there are always errors in his most recent filmography, and it is unclear what could have led the Spaniard to join the team. These are primarily some throwaway B-movie action thrillers that are so cheap that it is difficult to attribute their low quality to financial considerations. Code Name Banshee, in which he assumes the role of a contract killer, is the most recent illustration of these dishonourable recent works.
